I am that guy sometimes.
Actually, I’m that guy more often than I care to admit.
Yep, I’m the guy that makes those idiot moves which ends up with all sorts of laughing and pointing. The older I become, the more I seem to find myself as that guy. But, that doesn’t mean I’m quite ready to hide inside the HVAC comfort of my home forever either. Instead, I just try to muddle through and do my best. I find much of my trouble comes from just how much information is all around me. It leads to me forgetting so many things. Unfortunately, I often forget about taking care of the HVAC. In our house, I am responsible for all things HVAC. That means all the DIY stuff as well as scheduling the service dates and times with the HVAC company. It’s really not that big a deal. So, it’s really hard for me to figure out just why I can’t remember to do what I’m supposed to be doing with the HVAC. Every homeowner does this stuff so I should be able to remember as well. A big miss for me is changing the HVAC air filter on time. Typically, an HVAC air filter should be changed every 30 days. That is often not the case in our house. I tend to forget. Then the air filter goes for a few months without being changed. This is unnecessarily tough on the HVAC unit. Not only does it have to work harder due to a clogged up air filter, it puts added strain on delicate HVAC parts. I really don’t want to be the guy who killed the HVAC out of neglect.
