The link between the air I breathe in my home and my health has eluded me for my entire life.
That is until the pandemic started. Honestly, I think I started really taking my health far more seriously once the virus started. Mainly, I think it was the fact that I don’t have a very strong immune response that got me thinking. That, and I had a lot of time alone in the HVAC comfort of my house due to Covid. So, I started doing a great deal of research on just how to change my behavior in order to increase my immune strength. That’s when I started reading about how important indoor air quality is to one’s immune health. Being inside an HVAC controlled environment that isn’t doing anything to improve the air quality is the first mistake. But, there are easy changes to correct that mistake. Bad indoor air quality results in the immune system being under attack. There is so much in the indoor air that can adversely effect the respiratory system. So, it is as though it is under assault. However, just changing the HVAC air filter can be a great improvement. The HEPA style HVAC air filters are capable of trapping and removing over 99 percent of all airborne contaminants. Just doing this made an immediate difference in the indoor air quality of our home. Along with a better diet and consistent exercise, our improved indoor air quality is helping me get in much better shape. I’m just sad that it took a pandemic to make it happen.
