Hot days, cold nights and long hikes were common for us and we quickly realized how much we depended on the air conditioner when things got tough for us
We set out on a great big trip and adventure almost every year. We loved the outdoors and getting to see new places. Naturally, traveling the open roads in the summer posed many threats and uncomfortable situations. Sweat, bugs, sunburn and heat all came into play when we stopped to hike the open trails too. We loved it, but had to get used to it and develop ways to stay cool. Our fans usually always went out in the car too, we had bad luck with them but good luck with being safe thankfully. We used lotion and sunscreen, among other things. Ice, the air conditioner and the pool at the cabin all helped cool us down when we got back from a long hike. On one rare occasion our cabin’s air conditioner broke but wouldn’t end up being fixed for a few days. During this time we really improvised and learned how to stay really cool while we waited for the repairman to arrive. Hot days, cold nights and long hikes were common for us and we quickly realized how much we depended on the air conditioner when things got tough for us. We did not realize how much we relied on the heater and the air conditioner during the different seasons at the cabin until both of them went out on us at different times. One winter we bundled up and packed close together by the fire when our old noisy heater went out. Be prepared and check your buildings heating and cooling equipment.
